Chloe Walters to run the London Marathon in aid of Heads Together

Chloe, from our Women's 1s team, is running the London Marathon 2020 in support of Heads Together. Find out more about her journey, an Open day cake sale to help her raise funds and how to donate online below.

First... a big thank you for the Open Day cake sale

Thank you! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored, supported, run with me or put up with me chatting running. But, a particularly special thank you to West Hampstead Hockey Club! Last Open Day, we raised £320 for Heads Together. Thank you to everyone who bought cakes, shared advice and words of encouragement! I'm proud to be a part of such a supportive and brilliant club.

Why are you doing this challenge?

The last 18 months have been tough, and for some it has been really, really, tough. But, there are organisations out there that can help. It doesn't matter what you're struggling with, they will help you, they will be there for you without any judgement or expectation.

Heads Together are working hard to remove the stigma of mental illness and to help people access the treatment they need

So how can we help? Well, since you asked, I'm “running” 26.2 miles in the London Marathon for Heads Together and I’m trying to raise sponsorship. Heads Together are doing some brilliant work bringing together various organisations to tackle the stigma and change the conversation around mental health, with a series of innovative new mental health services.

Can we still donate online?

Yes, every penny you can spare will help motivate me to limp, crawl or stagger over the line. And more importantly, will help Heads Together help others.

You can donate on Chloe's money fundraising page.
