Congratulations to our very own Fixture/Pitches Sec, Georga Reed who won the England Hockey Area/County Volunteer of the Year Award 2023/24!
Georga has had an incredible year, not only smashing it on the committee but she has also been Club Liaison Lead for the London Area Officiating Committee, developed the Women in Officiating Network, set up a Small Clubs Officiating Network in the area and will be leading a new project, alongside the Vice Chair for London Hockey Area, a project that will identify what umpiring resources, culture and knowledge each club in the area has and in the longer run lead to more active and appointed umpires. All while slaying it in goal and earning her Level 2 Umpiring qualification!
